Barracudas

The Bella Casa Barracudas are swimmers aged 5 to 18 that compete in fun summer swim competition. Swimmers 6 and Under may swim 15 yards in three events;  freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. 6 and Under swimmers may be asked by the coaching staff to "swim up" with the 7/8 age group in order to complete a relay team. Swimmers in the 7/8 and 9/10 age groups swim 25 yards (or one length) in the of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and are eligible to swim in the medley and freestyle relays. Swimmers ages 11/12, 13/14 and 15 and Up may compete in the same events but swim 50 yards (two lengths of the pool).

Small Frys

The Bella Casa Barracudas offer a developmental program called the Small Frys, for any aged swimmer that is unable to swim one length of the pool (25 yards) independently. These swimmers are given the opportunity to practice with their age group and are evaluated weekly on their ability to "graduate" into being eligible to swim in the dual swim meets. They are full fledged members of the team, and will receive a team t-shirt, a swim cap and are welcome to the end of season banquet where their efforts will be recognized along with their teammates.
