Happy 4th of July Barracudas!

Great meet last night. I am so proud of our swimmers rallying from a couple points down late in Butterfly to win last night's meet 261-237.   It goes to show the importance of relays, they didn't swim a 15-18 girls medley or free relay and a 7-8 girls relay.  If they had and won those three events, they would have won the meet.   While this an example of how close it was, every race counted last night and I'm so proud of our swimmers and how well they swam last night.  All results have been loaded into the web site and are posted on the results page.

TSA Championships

There is still time to sign up for the TSA Championships.  Sign ups will close on Saturday at 10:00 am.  You must give me a signed permission form as well as sign up by the deadline.  There will be no late entries since I have to turn these in by Sunday. There is an additional cost of $12.  10 & under are in the morning on July 21st and 11&up are in the afternoon.

Next Meet

Our last two meets are against division opponents as we try and win our third division championship in four years.   Next week we are against Eagle Ridge at 320 Competition Road Raleigh, NC 27603. Google maps is showing a 30 minute drive from the pool.  It most likely will be longer during rush hour.   Please try to be at the pool at 5:15 and notify me if you will be late.  

Practice this week 

Tomorrow morning and afternoon we will be focusing on breast stroke.  Saturday we will work on Backstroke.  Monday we will do our usual meet prep, which will focus more on dives and turns.
